Explore: discovery, search, and browsing

In this lesson you will learn: Explore vs your catalog: two different mindsets. Search, filters, and discovery rows that save time. Turning exploration into follows, saves, and real connections.

**Explore** in the LUCY app is where you **look outward**—artists, releases, and discovery surfaces that are not “your dashboard.” It matches the product’s **social** mission: **browsing** the ecosystem before you jump back into **your** uploads, analytics, or payouts.

How to use Explore well

Start with **intent**: collabs, genre references, or playlist research—different goals → different filters.. Use **search** for names and titles; use **browse rows** (genres, new releases, curated picks) when you don’t know what you need yet.. When something lands, **follow** or **save** so it shows up in your **feed**—Explore is not a one-off tab.

Fit with the rest of LUCY

**Feed** and **DMs** turn casual exploration into ongoing relationships; **shareable URLs** to profiles and tracks turn fans into measurable traffic.. Your **catalog** is still the source of truth for what you ship—Explore doesn’t replace metadata hygiene or delivery.

Industry snapshot

DSPs and short-form apps own most **consumer** discovery; artist-to-artist discovery inside tools reduces friction for **collabs** and peer learning.
